Awards of our Unit and Specifications/Criteria

1.Medals/Badges/Awards shall be earned through actions, promotions through leadership.

2. Rank or rate from previous affiliations are subject to 1.SS LAH leadership's approval. Joining at a later date will not be  a guarantee of retention of any prior medals,badges,awards,rank or rate,seniority, or progress there towards.

3.Medals,badges,insignia purchases are the responsibility and prerogative of the individuals who've earned them. SSLAH leadership with supply certificates at public or private unit ceremony.

 Cuff Title: 4 events, at least 1 being a tactical. New members are not allowed to wear this until the requirements are met. 

 

Wound Badge, Black : Injuries resulting in a hospital visit with treatment required. (more than First Aid) All cases of this award require Officer approval.

 



Wound Badge, Silver : Injuries requiring an overnight hospital stay. All cases of this award require Officer approval.

Wound Badge, Gold : Recipient of an actual purple heart most provide documentation of award.

 

Tank Destruction Badge, Silver : 1 badge per tank, SPG, 3 armored vehicles 5 Jeeps. Must not have been deemed killed while attempting the attack.

 

Tank Destruction Badge, Gold : 5 TDBSs required must be approved by Commanding Officer.

 

Winter Medal : 5 overnight in sub-freezing temperatures counts 1 day for inclement weather 6 hours or more rain in that given day. Commanding Officer may deem a day not meeting all qualifications as awarded at his discretion.

 

Iron Cross 2nd Class: exceptional and/or distinguished action(s) in combat
*button hole style if group-awarded, ribbon style if individually-awarded Ribbon accounts as more than one award as well.

 

Iron Cross 1st Class: rare and decisive action with exceptional merit in tactical combat. Or deemed awardable by upper command with the approval of the Commanding Officer.

* additionally  must be a member in good standing and must have 3+ years service with 1.SSLAH.

 

Anti-Partisan, Bronze: 6 combat days against a respectable Soviet and /or Partisan force/ or 6 rec. sanctioned sabotage successful missions. This award may also be awarded at the discretion of the Commanding Officer for achievements deemed acceptable.

 

 Assault Badge: any combination of 12 tactical field days or  12 field training days.  24 public appearance days at Living History events (example Air Shows). Only days in service to the unit are counted.

 

 

General Combat Clasp: 25 tactical or  30 field training days or 50 public appearance days at Living History events (example Air Shows). Only days in service to the unit are counted.

 

War Merit Cross 2nd Class: Exceptional cumulative non-combat contributions to 1.SSLAH. These are items such as equipment, paper work additional duties rendered,  providing provisions over time, adding to the units collection of items. These are a few examples. Note this award is at the Commanding Officers discretion.

 

War Merit Cross 2nd w/Swords: as a second WMC2 Exceptional cumulative non-combat contributions to 1.SSLAH. These are items such as equipment, paper work additional duties rendered,  providing provisions over time, adding to the units collection of items. These are a few examples. Note this award is at the Commanding Officers discretion.

 

War Merit Cross 1st Class: Significantly valuable personal material contribution(s) to 1.SSLAH in addition to Exceptional cumulative non-combat contributions to 1.SSLAH. These are items such as equipment, paper work additional duties rendered,  providing provisions over time, adding to the units collection of items. These are a few examples. Note this award is at the Commanding Officers discretion.

 

 

 Driver's Badge, Silver: designated driver of 1.SSLAH vehicle

 

 

Driver's Badge, Gold: Contribution of a period vehicle to 1.SSLAH

 

 

SS Long Service Medal 4,8,12 Yrs: corresponding years with 1.SSLAH

 SA Sports Badge, Bronze: Honorable discharge from, or current active service with US or US-allied armed forces. This is also a award to honor LEOs.
